BLTI - BLCC History

Recently, Beaver Lake residents have heard from both Beaver Lake Club Corp. (BLCC) and Beaver Lake Trust, Inc. (BLTI) about some of our differences over the governance and management of the lake. One thing that has become clear from the questions we’ve received from you is the need for a better understanding of the history of Beaver Lake.

The lake itself has a long history dating to the late 1800s when it was part of the Ware Rod and Gun Club. The Beaver Lake community we know today, however, dates to the establishment of Beaver Lake, Inc., (BLI) in 1964.  It was set up to subdivide the deeded property and sell residential lots.  Among other things, BLI established the Covenants that protect your rights to access the lake and give BLCC the sole right to enforce the covenants and manage the lake and beaches.
